Purepecha indigenous peoples celebrate the Fuego Nuevo (New Fire) in Nahuatzen, located in in the forest mountains of Michoacan. Purepecha communities such as Nurio, Cheran and Urapicho created of a communitary guards against the attacks from loggers and organized crime from April 2012.
